Alexis Sanchez wants to get back performing to as high a level as he did a few seasons ago according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean national team attacker has struggled for form ever since leaving Arsenal to join Manchester United in January 2018 and as a result of his poor form, the Red Devils shipped him out on loan to Inter for this season.

Sanchez certainly has not set the world alight with his performances whilst in the Nerazzurri shirt and has most definitely not been helped in his bid to get back to his best as an ankle injury kept him out for almost all of the first half of the season.

The 31-year-old recently made a return to action and hopes to be able to put in performances similar to those that he put in against Sampdoria and Barcelona right at the beginning of the season but knows that time is running out for him to turn things round.
