Juventus Vs Inter To Be Played Behind Closed Doors On Sunday Night

Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia have reported moments ago that the Piedmont local council have decided that the Derby D’Italia between Juventus and Inter in Turin on Sunday night is to be played behind closed doors at the Allianz Stadium.

This decision comes in wake of the developing Coronavirus situation in Italy which has already caused disruption to football and other events.

Inter’s match at home to Sampdoria this past weekend was one of four Serie A fixtures and one of many across all levels in the Italian football pyramid postponed due to the virus, which there is over 400 cases of in the country, with most of them being in the north of the country.

Inter’s Europa League round of 32 second leg clash against Ludogorets has also been affected with the match, which is due to kick off just shortly, being played behind closed doors at San Siro.

The report from Sky Sport Italia goes on to underline that as things stand right now, the game will be played behind closed doors.
