Samir Handanovic will start in goal for Inter in this weekend’s Derby D’Italia match versus arch rivals Juventus according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 35-year-old Slovenian goalkeeper has not played in any of Inter’s past six matches due to a hand injury but he is to return to full training today and will finally start working with the ball again with the injury now healed.
His return will come as a welcome boost to Inter for their trip to Turin for the match which could well prove decisive for where the Serie A title ends up come the end of this season.
The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that both Roberto Gagliardini and Stefano Sensi will remain sidelined through injury and thus play no part in the match at the Allianz Stadium, which is to be played behind closed doors.
