Inter Goalkeeper Padelli: “We Will Be Ready For Juventus”

Following Inter’s win over Ludogorets in the second leg of their Europa League round of 32 clash with the Bulgarian side, Inter goalkeeper Daniele Padelli shared his thoughts and feelings in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The experienced shot-stopper played for the sixth consecutive game as he continued to deputise in the absence of number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, who missed yet another match due to a hand injury.

Padelli was however unable to keep a clean sheet in the match that was played at the San Siro as Ludogorets took a shock 1-0 lead during the first half. Inter wasted no time in reacting though and were quickly level with Ludogorets thanks to Cristiano Biraghi.

Romelu Lukaku scored shortly before half time to give Inter a 2-1 lead and the match would ultimately end this way with Inter now progressing to the next round with thanks to a 4-1 aggregate scoreline.

“We are Inter and every time we play we always have to give 110%, with or without fans. We were good, the goal has been achieved,” he said.

He then spoke on this weekend’s match against Juventus: “They are ahead of us and we need to go there and get points. We will prepare for the match in Turin and be ready.”
