Italian Report Explains Why Inter Manager Antonio Conte Has Been Changing The System Lately In Matches

Inter manager Antonio Conte could begin to use the four man defensive system that he has trialled in recent matches far more often from now on according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

In the two games against Ludogorets in the Europa League round of 32 in particular, there has been stages of the games where Conte has opted to change from his tried and tested 3-5-2 system and had the team play in a variation of systems that have a four man back line.

The reason the former Italian national team manager has introduced these new ideas is because he is well aware that as time goes on opponents are becoming increasingly aware of how his 3-5-2 works and becoming adept with a four man back line and a different set-up in front of that, will help his team remain unpredictable.

The report goes on to state that Conte should start with the 3-5-2 in this weekend’s Derby D’Italia against Juventus but it cannot be ruled out that he will change the system during the match at the Allianz Stadium.
