In today’s print edition, Gazzetta dello Sport have heaped praise on on loan Inter attacker Alexis Sanchez after his performance in Inter’s win over Ludogorets last night.
The Chilean national team attacker put in one of his best performances to date in an Inter shirt at San Siro as Inter ran out 2-1 winners of the reigning Bulgarian champions in the second leg of their Europa League round of 32 tie.
Just like he did in the first leg, Sanchez was given the opportunity to start the match but this time he got to start alongside former Manchester United teammate Romelu Lukaku and it was apparent that the pair of them had good chemistry together.
Sanchez would in fact play a huge role in Inter’s second goal as he chipped the ball over the Ludogorets defence which Romelu Lukaku got on the end of. Lukaku’s initial header was saved but the keeper parried the ball and luckily it bounced right off of Lukaku’s head and into the net.
Sanchez missed pretty much all of the first half of the season due to an ankle injury which required surgery but since returning a few weeks back, he has been almost like a new signing for the club, despite the fact he joined on loan last Summer.
