Official – Serie A Confirm Juventus-Inter To Be One Of 5 Played Behind Closed Doors This Weekend

Lega Serie A have published an official statement via their website confirming that five of this weekend’s 10 scheduled Serie A fixtures will be played behind closed doors as a direct result of the Coronavirus outbreak in Italy.

The main match to have been affected by this decision is the Derby D’Italia between league leaders Juventus and third placed Inter, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

Udinese versus Fiorentina, AC Milan vs Genoa, Parma vs SPAL, Sassuolo vs Brescia are the four other matches that will be played behind closed doors in a bid to limit any potential spread of the virus.

This is the second weekend in a row where Serie A matches have been affected as a result of the virus after four games were postponed last weekend including Inter’s match at home to Sampdoria, which is still yet to be rescheduled for a later date.
