Inter manager Antonio Conte has been so impressed with Danilo D’Ambrosio’s performances at centre back in the past two games that he could deploy him there against Juventus this weekend according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
The Italian international is a natural full back or wing back but has on occasion been used as a centre back this season and with great success too.
Having been out injured as of late, D’Ambrosio has not played all that much but has played the entirety of both of Inter’s Europa League round of 32 fixtures against Ludogorets in the past week.
Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar will certainly start at the Allianz Stadium and could well be joined by D’Ambrosio. Conte could however opt to go for Diego Godin or Alessandro Bastoni for the third centre back spot but D’Ambrosio’s recent performances and superior ability when it comes to supporting attacks could give him the upperhand.
