Fiorentina central midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli is on Inter’s Summer transfer window wishlist according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are big admirers of the Italian national team player who Inter have had scouts watch closely in recent weeks.

The 23-year-old has been one of the revelations of the season this season and recently signed a long term contract with the Florence based club but Inter could well try to take full advantage of the excellent relations that they have with the Viola club in order to sign him.

As things stand, Inter’s midfield for the 2020/21 season will definitely consist of Christian Eriksen, Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella and Stefano Sensi and two more midfielders could be brought in to compliment that quartet with one of those midfielders potentially being Castrovilli.

This season Castrovilli has made 25 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored three goals and tallied two assists.
