Opta Highlight Inter’s Past Success Against Spanish Sides In Europa League Last 16 After Being Drawn Against Getafe

Following Friday afternoon’s Europa League last 16 draw which has pitted Inter against Getafe, sports data and analytics company have highlighted how Inter fared the last time they face a Spanish side in this competition.

Inter drew Valencia back in the 2002 edition of the competition when it was then known as the UEFA Cup at this stage.

The first leg of that match was played at San Siro finished 1-1 and Inter then went on to win the second leg away from home 1-0 meaning they progressed to the quarter finals thanks to a 2-1 aggregate scoreline.
