Brescia president Massimo Cellino discussed the postponement of five Serie A games, including the Lombard club’s game against Sassuolo and the Derby d’Italia in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
“The league has been distorted for the umpteenth time. I am quite disgusted and I prefer not to say anything else.”
The five postponed games will now be played on the 13th May, the date originally set for the Coppa Italia final. Due to this, the Coppa Italia final will now be played a week later, forcing the game to be played in Milan due to the fact that UEFA need to Stadio Olimpico for the upcoming European Championships.
Inter are furious with the League’s decision to postpone the games, considering that the Nerazzurri have now played two games less than league leaders Lazio, who have played all their games so far. Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has complained about this, suggesting that the inconsistent league table could impact the players. Inter’s game against Sampdoria still doesn’t have a date.
