Yesterday’s decision to postpone five Serie A games has seen to different factions form, those for the postponement and those against it, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.
The report details how Juventus was the most active in advocating for the postponement of this weekend’s games, alongside Udinese who did everything possible to convince the League to postpone their match against Fiorentina. AC Milan and Genoa also were happy for the postponement, with the Rossoneri preferring to rest as much as possible considering their vital Coppa Italia clash against Juventus on Wednesday.
Inter were strongly opposed to the postponement, the report continues, with both Brescia and Fiorentina also being angry about the decision. Brescia president Massimo Cellino is unhappy about the busy schedule at the end of the season and the Florence based club are angry that they traveled to Udine, only for the game to be called off five hours before kickoff.
Atalanta are hoping to bring their match against Lazio a little forward, the report continues. The Bergamo based club want to play the Biancocelesti on Friday, giving them an extra 24 hours to prepare for their Champions League clash against Valencia.
