Inter CEO Beppe Marotta’s requested conference call was carried out earlier today, although nothing concrete was established in the call, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.
The report details how the call was attended by Beppe Marotta, Inter executive Alessandro Antonello, Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino, League executive Luigi De Siervo, Sampdoria owner Massimo Ferrero, Lazio president Claudio Lotito, AC Milan president Claudio Scaroni and Atalanta president Luca Percassi.
The postponement and the busy calendar issue will be discussed at an emergency meeting, the report continues, which will be organized over the coming days, with all clubs set to be present. Five Serie A games were postponed this weekend, including Inter’s Derby d’Italia against Juventus. The Nerazzurri are furious about the postponement, in part because of the busy calendar and also because they are now eight points off league leaders Lazio, who haven’t had any of their games postponed so far.
