Inter coach Antonio Conte gave his squad a day off today, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri squad underwent a standard training session at Appiano Gentile yesterday, with the team heading home after the end. Today though, Conte decided to give his team a day off, on the day that they should have been facing Juventus in the Derby d’Italia. The game has now been postponed until 13th May.
The 50-year-old Italian coach has received more good news, the report continues. Only one player is injured, Italian midfielder Stefano Sensi, meaning that the former Chelsea coach has almost all his players available to him. From tomorrow onwards, the Nerazzurri will begin their preparations for their Coppa Italia clash against Napoli. The Partenopei won the first leg at the San Siro 1-0, forcing the Milanese side to play more attacking.
