Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of setting a personal record for goals scored in a single club season a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport highlights.
The Belgian international forward joined Inter in a club record €65 million transfer from Premier League outfit Manchester United this past Summer and has been in sublime goal scoring form in his first season in the Nerazzurri shirt.
The 26-year-old has netted a total of 23 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions to date and he needs just four more goals to tie his current record of 27 and five goals to set a new personal record.
At his current scoring rate of 0.73 goals per 90 minutes played, it should not take him too long to set a new record for himself.
Lukaku is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2023/24 season and could quite easily write his name into club history books if he keeps up this level of scoring between now and then.
