Inter are one of a number of clubs across the world with players out on loan at other clubs who have options to buy the loan players permanently and Inter are carefully watching the developing situation relating to Coronavirus as it could have an impact according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
Joao Mario, Mauro Icardi, Dalbert, Ivan Perisic and Valentino Lazaro are with Lokomotiv Moscow, Paris Saint Germain, Fiorentina, Bayern Munich and Newcastle United respectively and Inter could make a considerable amount of cash if the clubs take up their options to sign the players permanently.
Due to the Coronavirus situation, there are concerns that club’s spending could be kept to a minimum due to the financial impact that the situation is likely to cause and this could obviously affect the chances of taking up options to buy loan players.
When it comes to Icardi, PSG can sign him for €70 million, almost all of which would be a capital gain for the Nerazzurri given Icardi has a value of just €1.8 million against Inter’s books.
However, it is understood that PSG are unsure on signing the 27-year-old Argentine permanently despite the fact he has 20 goals in 31 games for them this term and Icardi himself is not convinced by the idea of staying in the French capital either.
