Inter wing back Danilo D’Ambrosio posted a tribute to Pope Francis in a post on his Instagram page on Friday.
The 31-year-old Italian right back, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2021, watched the Pope’s address on Friday, where he discussed the coronavirus emergency and the importance of people helping each other. The player has made 18 appearances for the Nerazzurri so far this season.
D’Ambrosio posted a photo of himself meeting the Pope alongside the caption: “Our hearts thank you so much. We really needed it.”
