European football’s governing body UEFA have announced that they will meet with their 55 member federations on Wednesday via an official statement on their website.
The meeting will take place via a video conference call and UEFA will update their member federations on the work conducted so far by the two working groups specifically set up to find solutions to the current problems football is facing as a result of the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.
There will be updates on UEFA national team and club competitions and the upcoming transfer market and the situation with player contracts will also be spoken about.
As things stand football in almost every UEFA federation has been off for a few weeks due to the pandemic and it remains a complete mystery as to whether the seasons will resume at all but there should be a lot more clarity on the matter following Wednesday’s meeting.
