Inter owned Joao Mario has admitted he is uncertain about what the immediate future holds for him due to all that is currently going on around the world.
The Portuguese national team midfielder is currently out on loan at Russian Premier League side Lokomotiv Moscow and there is great confusion at the moment especially when it comes to players out on loan and with expiring contracts given many leagues are currently on hold and could well resume at a later date.
“It is a big confusion for me because I don’t know what is going to happen if the league extends until August. I don’t know if players or clubs have an obligation to continue or not,” he explained in an interview with the Associated Press.
“So I’m trying to understand. I’m talking to the club, obviously but it’s a situation where, I suppose, not even clubs know what’s going to happen.”
Joao Mario joined Inter back in 2016 from Portuguese powerhouses Sporting in a then club record transfer deal as one of then new owners Suning’s first purchases.
He has since went on to represent Inter 69 times across all competitions, in which he has scored four goals and provided 13 assists.
Whilst on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow he has made 15 appearances, in which he has scored one goal and tallied four assists.
