It is unlikely that Inter will sign Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet in the summer, according to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The report details how the 24-year-old Frenchman won’t be leaving Barcelona in the summer for many reasons. The first is that the club trust the player and don’t want to lose a consistent starter. Furthermore, his salary is much lower than his teammates Samuel Umtiti, making Lenglet a much more attractive option to hold onto.
In addition to the club’s wishes, the report continues, Lenglet himself doesn’t want to leave the Blaugrana. The 24-year-old Frenchman has been informed of Inter’s interest in him as a possible replacement for Milan Skriniar but doesn’t want to leave the Camp Nou.
Lenglet has made 29 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2501 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals, provided one assist and helped the side keep nine clean sheets.
