Lautaro Martinez will not try and force his way out of Inter to secure a move to Barcelona according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
The 22-year-old is Barcelona’s primary transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer window and talks between the clubs have taken place but as of yet there is no agreement between the clubs.
The Argentine is willing to wait and see how negotiations between the two clubs pan out and if his €111 million release clause is activated, he will depart for the La Liga powerhouses.
However, in the event that the two clubs cannot get a deal reached, the report goes on to explain that he could put pen to paper on a contract extension with Inter which would see him get a significant salary raise.
This season he has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.
