Inter are planning to use a ‘Nicolo Barella’ style deal to sign Hellas Verona starlet Marash Kumbulla, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri are incredibly keen to sign the 20-year-old Albanian defender, who is contracted to the Gialloblu until 2022.
The Milanese club are hoping to use a ‘Barella’ style deal to sign Kumbulla, that is a deal of an expensive loan followed by a buy obligation and a series of easily achievable add-ons. In the case of the former Cagliari midfielder, the loan deal was worth €12 million, and the buy obligation set at €25 million, with €8 million in add-ons.
Inter are planning to invest the funds earnt from the sale of Mauro Icardi into Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, the report continues, and so would prefer a more complicated deal for Kumbulla. The 20-year-old has impressed in his debut season in Serie A.
