Antonio Conte Likely To Start Christian Eriksen In Coppa Italia Clash Against Napoli

Inter are likely to be deployed in a 3-4-1-2 formation by manager Antonio Conte in this weekend’s Coppa Italia semi final second leg against Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri will be changing from their tried and tested 3-5-2 system that they have used throughout the season and by changing to a 3-4-1-2, Christian Eriksen will be able to play in his natural role of attacking midfielder.

Although both currently doubtful due to muscle issues, the report from the Rome based news outlet believes that Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni will both be back and they will play alongside Milan Skriniar at the back.

Should neither, or both, of them manage to make it for the match, Andrea Ranocchia and Danilo D’Ambrosio will be called upon to replace them.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Antonio Candreva, Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, Ashley Young; Christian Eriksen; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
