Lautaro Martinez will not try and force a move away from Inter to Barcelona according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The highly rated 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Blaugrana club for a considerable amount of time but despite this the Argentine will wait and see what happens rather than try and force things.
He has a €111 million release clause in his contract, something Barcelona are seemingly reluctant to pay and they would instead prefer to do a player or players plus cash deal for him.
The report goes on to explain that the former Racing Club player has not lost focus on the task at hand at Inter and is focused upon this weekend’s Coppa Italia semi final second leg away to Napoli.
The player intends to give his all for Inter and if in the end he does leave, he hopes to do so with his head held high and perhaps having won a trophy.
