Inter Tell Barcelona Lautaro Martinez’ €111M Price Tag Could Be Raised After July 7th

Inter have told Barcelona that they do not intend to sell Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez and that the sum of €111 million which is his release clause in his contract, could be deemed to low after July 7th, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

According to the report, should an offer from Barcelona fail to meet €111 million before July 7th, the Nerazzurri would be happy to keep the player and are likely to offer him a new contract, with either an increased release clause or by removing it entirely.

Inter have been clear with Barcelona that they will only sell Lautaro for his release clause of €111 million, the report continues, which expires on July 7th.

After July 7th, the report continues, all bets are off and the Nerazzurri could ask for even more money should Barcelona or any other team come calling.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, has been tempted by the Blaugrana and the chance to play with compatriot and friend Lionel Messi, but he has not yet accepted an offer from the Catalan club.
