Inter are ahead of Juventus in the race for Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali and could finalise a deal for him in the coming weeks according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Thanks to the sale of former captain Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain, Inter received an important boost in their pursuit of the highly rated 20-year-old midfielder, who Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino wants €50 million for.
Icardi was sold for €50 million upfront plus €8 million in add-ons and it is therefore easier for Inter to make a move for Tonali, who is widely regarded as one of the best up and coming Italian talents out there at the moment.
The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to add that Inter could wrap up a deal for Tonali by the end of the month.
This season Tonali has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided five assists.
