Inter chief executive officer Alessandro Antonello has shared his delight at the announcement of Inter Academy Turkey.
The Nerazzurri club have expanded their Inter Academy project to a 21st country by launching an academy in Turkey, the headquarters of which will be in Mersin, a port city in the south of the country.
Inter state that 400 children between the ages of six and 17 will stand to benefit from the academy in Turkey, which has been launched in collaboration with 3H Spor Okullari, a company which belongs to the Turkish group Altun Logistics.
“The birth of this new partnership represents an important step in the process of expanding the Inter Academy project worldwide,” Antonello remarked, as quoted by Inter’s official club website.
“Inter has always been very attentive to the training of young players, both from a technical and human point of view, and we are happy that thanks to the support of 3H Spor Okullari even Turkish children will have the opportunity to train with the technical standards of Inter without leaving their homeland.”
Hüseyin Gökten and Hüseyin Altun, who are both Managing Partners of 3H Sport Okullari, also chimed in with their thoughts on the launch of Inter Academy Turkey.
“With the opening of Inter Academy Turkey we want to share our passion for sport and team play. We care about the growth and education of children and thanks to this project, in collaboration with a global brand like Inter, we want to contribute to the development of football in Turkey in a professional and efficient way.”
With the launch of Inter Academy Turkey, Inter now have in excess of 20,000 children participating in the Inter Academy project, which also involves over 400 coaches.
