Italian Report Claims Inter Beginning To Have Doubts Over Buying Stefano Sensi

Inter are beginning to have doubts about whether or not they will activate the option they have to buy on loan Stefano Sensi according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Italian national team midfielder joined the Nerazzurri on a season long loan with option to buy set at €20 million this past Summer from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo.

Sensi made a very promising start to life in an Inter shirt but following an injury in the first Derby D’Italia back in October, he has struggled to remain fit and has picked up injury after injury.

He sustained his latest injury, another thigh injury, yesterday in training and the report explains that there are some members of Inter management who have doubts about keeping him.

Moreover, the report goes on to explain that Inter management are questioning if the fee agreed with Sassuolo is perhaps too much.

It seems almost certain that if Inter do decide they want to keep him they will seek a substantial discount from the Neroverdi side.

Since joining, he has scored three goals and tallied four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions to date.
