Midfielder Marcelo Brozovic Could Miss Inter’s Next 3 Serie A Games Due To Injury

Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will be out injured for at least 10 days, after suffering a muscle injury in training, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Croatian midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, suffered a resentment in the posterior tibial muscle of his left leg in training earlier and so will be forced to miss tomorrow evening’s league clash against Sampdoria.

The 2018 World Cup runner up is hoping to return within 10 days, aiming to be back in time for next weekend’s league clash against Parma.

Considering his physical condition, it’s more likely that Brozovic will be fit in time for the home game against Brescia, the report continues.

Italian midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is the favourite to replace Brozovic in the starting 11, although coach Antonio Conte is also thinking about deploying Spaniard Borja Valero instead, who has replaced Brozovic in the past.
