Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi will be permanently signed by the Nerazzurri in the summer, despite his injury issues, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 24-year-old Italian was sent on loan from Sassuolo to the Nerazzurri last summer, with the player making an immediate impact in Milan. Sensi scored three goals and provided four assists in his first six games for Inter, but suffered a tear in the abductor muscle 34 minutes into his Derby d’Italia debut.
Since then, his season has been rocked by injury and he will again miss the next seven to eight games due to a hamstring injury, his fifth injury of the season.
Despite his physical condition, Inter will still sign him in the summer, the report continues. The Nerazzurri will pay €27 million, with €3 million more to be added for the loan and the various add-ons. A discount could also come to light, thanks to the good relationship between the two clubs.
