Inter midfielder Matias Vecino is still suffering from a knee injury and is likely to miss the next two to three games, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 28-year-old Uruguayan midfielder has been suffering from a knee injury for some time now and has managed to avoid having surgery on the problem area. Despite undergoing a personalised training programme and avoiding heavy work, Vecino is still suffering from the injury and won’t be available for the next two to three games.
Two other Inter midfielders are also injured, the report continues. 24-year-old Italian Stefano Sensi and 27-year-old Croatian Marcelo Brozovic will also miss tonight’s game against Sampdoria due to injury, leaving coach Antonio Conte with limited options in the midfield department, an issue he has already dealt with earlier this season. Vecino has scored three goals and provided one assist in 23 appearances this season.
