A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport has highlighted how clinical Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is against smaller teams.

The report details how the 27-year-old Belgian forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has been devastating against the smaller clubs in Serie A this season, helping the Milanese club to gain many vital points. Lukaku has scored against many smaller sides under coach Antonio Conte this season, netting against teams like Cagliari, Lecce, Sassuolo, Brescia, Bologna, Parma, Torino, Genoa and Udinese.

Lukaku has disappointed a little against the stronger teams in Italy, the report continues, and also struggled to find the back of the net in the Champions League as well, only scoring twice in five appearances in the competition. 8 of Inter’s next 12 league games are against smaller sides and so Lukaku has the chance to finish the season incredibly strongly, important considering the uncertain form of Lautaro Martinez.
