Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is on the brink of setting a personal best for goals scored in a single season, a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport has highlighted.
The 27-year-old has netted 24 goals this term across all competitions and requires just three more goals to match his current personal best of 27 and 4 more goals to set a new record.
Lukaku achieved his current personal best at Manchester United, who he joined Inter from in a club record €65 million deal this past Summer, in the 2017/18 season.
The Belgian national team player has 12 league games left and at least one game in the Europa League to match his personal best and possibly set a new one.
His next opportunity to score comes in the next few hours with Inter due to face Sassuolo at San Siro. In the reverse fixture between the sides back in October, Lukaku netted a brace.
