Inter have moderate optimism that they will be able to keep a hold of Alexis Sanchez until late August according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Sanchez’s loan deal with Inter was extended until the end of the 2019/20 Serie A season yesterday meaning he will be unavailable to play for Inter in the latter stages of the Europa League.
The report explains that Manchester United are aware that Inter want to keep the Chilean national team player for the Europa League and could demand a lump sum from Inter to extend the loan to allow him to play in the Europa League although Inter hope to avoid paying anything.
Inter management are also at work on keeping Sanchez with the club for next season too regardless of what happens with Barcelona linked Lautaro Martinez.
The report goes on to add that as part of their agreement with Chelsea to extend Victor Moses loan, Inter have agreed to release the Nigerian in the event he ends up involved in other negotiations.
