Inter Still Keen On Lazio Target Marash Kumbulla But Wont Make A Move Until Diego Godin’s Future Settled

Inter are still interested in signing Hellas Verona starlet Marash Kumbulla and may take advantage of the fact that Lazio haven’t closed out the deal, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.com earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have been keen to sign the 20-year-old Albanian defender for some time now. Lazio and Juventus have also been following Kumbulla, and the Biancocelesti even submitted an offer, attempting to beat their competition to the player’s signature.

The Roman side still haven’t reached an agreement yet with the Gialloblu, keeping the door wide open for the Nerazzurri to strike.

Inter haven’t made a final decision yet on Kumbulla, the report continues, and it partly depends on the situation of Uruguayan defender Diego Godin. Once a decision on the future of the Uruguayan international central defender has been made, Inter will make a move for him.

The 20-year-old Albanian defender has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1806 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and helped the side keep seven clean sheets.
