Inter wing back Ashley Young is hoping to win the Europa League with the Nerazzurri this season, in part because he has already won the trophy once, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 34-year-old English wing back, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2021, is hoping to win the Europa League this season, giving him a European title near the end of his career. Young’s most recent trophy was also that competition, which he won with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
The player’s international experience will prove vital for Inter, the report continues, and Young is coach Antonio Conte’s favourite player in the left wing back role.
The 34-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Nerazzurri so far this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in that time, impressing since his arrival in the January transfer window.
