Inter’s Andrea Ranocchia: “Today A Difficult Game But We Must Continue To Win & Play Well”

Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia discussed the Nerazzurri’s league clash against Bologna ahead of the game in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV, aired moments ago.

“It will be a difficult game today, they have embodied the soul of their coach, they good individual players. But we must continue to win and play well.”

He discussed the timing of the game, 17:15, and how it will be hotter than usual due to the Coronavirus stop.

“Unusual schedule, we’ll see how our legs and head will respond. It will be hot for both teams, it will be a problem for everyone. But we’re ready, we have to win.”

The 32-year-old Italian defender touched on how the Milanese club haven’t had a 0-0 result since the season restart.

“Special situation, in terms of football and beyond. It was difficult to restart, the psychological aspect affects as much as the physical one. It’s normal to see so many goals, a strange situation. We’ll try not to suffer but to make them.”

Finally, Ranocchia spoke about Bologna forward Rodrigo Palacio, who spent five years of his career with the Nerazzurri between 2012 to 2017 before joining the Rossoblu.

“Rodri is a strong player, experienced and technical. To be feared, it will be nice to have him back.”

Ranocchia has struggled for playing time under coach Antonio Conte so far this season, dropping down the hierarchy at the club.

The 32-year-old, who has been with the Nerazzurri since 2011, has made nine appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 640 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and helped the Milanese club keep three clean sheets.
