Interviewed by Sky Sports, Massimo Moratti, Inter’s former president, offered his thoughts on the Derby d’Italia against Juventus on Sunday night.

“It’s a a very interesting match, at a time in the championship in which both teams are doing well: it will be a good challenge. Inter in Turin, may be able to get a result, right? But the games with them are difficult, then we must be able to withstand the first half, then come out well.

“Icardi versus Higuain? They are different players, but certainly Maurito has the cards to be part of the Argentine national team.”

Discussion then turned to Inter head coach Stefano Pioli and the Suning ownership.

“Pioli’s very good, while Zhang Jindong has so far done very well, so it bodes well for the future.”

Speaking on Roberto Gagliardini: “He’s a fantastic player, a very good buy. He has promise and has a strong personality.”

Choisa on nostalgia derby of Italy and goal third. “More than I can say longing to have good memories, are two teams constantly against each other which then are able to play everything in a game, which I hope will always be attractive as it should be. I think this team can arrive safely in the Champions League if this continues I do not see why not.”
