Marco Materazzi has always been a figure at the club during his 10 years there but has stated that, when asked if he wanted to return to the club in some sort of form, he would think otherwise.

“I stopped having another year of my contract because it did not make me feel important,” he said. “I want to feel important, the question is not about the fact of change, but the desire and motivation to give continuity to a person outspoken like me. As I said, there’s no rush.”

Materazzi was also able to speak on behalf his former manager Jose Mourinho. Speaking about the Special One, Inter’s former number 23 explained that his former coach hasn’t softened one bit.
