Before manager Pioli’s press conference today, Inter announced a small football competition for oncologically and haematologically affected kids which will be played on 22nd April at Appiano Suning. 12 teams will take participation in this tournament. The event has been organized in collaboration with CSI and Pirelli.

Andrea Ferrari highlighted Inter’s role in this event: “We are an organization that deals with sick teenagers. With Winners Cup we want to tell their stories, strength and courage they have to face this disease. We hope that with this event we can make a clear message about these diseases that affects the youth and how they can be healed.”

Javier Zanetti was also present during the announcement, he said: “Very important initiative for us, we are happy to organize it specially by involving children from all over Italy. We can send many positive values for these guys, I saw them really excited when Icardi signed their bands which they will wear in the game. We are all united to make it a great success. We also thank Pirelli to support us in this initiative.”
