It is expected that in 10 days, Napoli’s Dries Mertens will be renewing his contract with the president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, extending it to 2021. However, there are reports stating that the obstacle in that to being confirmed is down to his wife, who wants to leave Naples.

With interest from clubs such as Barcelona, Spurs, Juventus and Inter, Mertens at this point will have to decide which is the best solution for his future.
