During a special media day for Chinese media only Mauro Icardi spoke exclusively to Chinese portal Sohu.com about the derby as well as other issues.
“It’s difficult to chose but my most important goals at Inter are the ones against Juventus, they are the most beautiful and important goals I’ve scored since arriving here. We have to keep working hard and improve, we need to become more complete and more secure in ourselves. We have demonstrated that we have good technical quality, we have to continue on this path.”
“Suning have brought a lot of enthusiasm since arriving at Inter, as well as huge ambitions for the team. They are very attentive and good at what they do, they give the squad a lot of support daily. we hope to return to the top as soon as possible with their support. Pioli? He is a great coach, who understands football. He can help us to increase our strength, since he arrived we have improved.”
In conclusion Icardi was asked why he left Barcelona to join Sampdoria stating “I learned a lot of things there, but my career has gone well here in Italy. I’m happy to play here, wearing Inter’s shirt makes me feel special.”
