Inter’s captain Mauro Icardi stopped by the club’s official TV Channel, Inter TV, to share his thoughts on tonight’s difficult Serie A fixture away against Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in Bergamo, with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
The Argentinian striker was asked about his goal drought saying that: “It is true, I could have scored these past two matches, expecially in the derby whilst against Torino their goalkeeper was really good. I hope to be able to score today and break the recent spell of bad luck.
“It has never been easy for us here. They are very organized, they play one against one all over the pitch. We have to gove a great performance in order to win and to achieve our objective” Icardi continued.
In conclusion Icardi was asked what he thinks about Atalanta’s Alejandro Gomez to which he replied: “I hope that he has a quiet night and that our defenders can block his every move, we know that he can make the difference.”
