Inter captain Mauro Icardi was interviewed by Italian media outlet Premium Sport moments ago ahead of tonight’s Serie A fixture away against Atalanta at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri D’Italia in Bergamo.

The Argentinian began by underlining the importance of tonight’s fixture stating that: “The road to the Champions League passes from here, we have to do well today and until the end. We know that there are still many matches left to play and if we give up now we will not be able to achieve our objective.

“In the past few matches we have been very unlucky, for example like in the derby when I made a mistake or what happened last week against Torino. However, we have changed our attitude and if we continue like this we will be able to achieve our objective. We want to change our history, Inter deserve to be at the same level as other top European teams because history says so” Icardi concluded.
