Inter’s ambitions of getting Rafinha at a discounted price have taken a hit according to Mundo Deportivo who report that his parent club Barcelona are wanting to raise as much money as possible to enable them to go after players in the summer transfer window.
Rafinha joined the Nerazzurri on an initial six month loan in January and has become a key part of Luciano Spalletti’s side, so much so that Inter wish to take up their option to redeem him and turn his stay in Milano in to a permanent one. However due to ongoing financial fair play problems, it will be difficult for the Nerazzurri to pay that.
Therefore, Inter have asked to have that price slashed to between €18-20 million. The Blaugrana are however not so keen to oblige as they wish to add both Antoine Griezmann and Arthur to their ranks and receiving €35 million from Inter for Rafinha would help them well on their way to doing so.
