Valencia have refused to budge on the €35 million redemption fee agreed for Joao Cancelo with Inter at a recent meeting between the two according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri met with the Spanish club and requested that the price is lowered due to the current figures of the deal being difficult to achieve for them. Inter must raise somewhere between €40-50 million to come in line with financial fair play by the end of June and splashing €35 million on Cancelo would make things worse unless there is to be a big sale.

Valencia have explicitly told Inter that if they are to not cough up the €35 million fee, the Portuguese full back will simply return to the Spanish club who have had other offers for him. The Milanese based newspaper report that they have already received offers in and around the €50 million mark from the Premier League while Real Madrid are also keen on him.
