Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has ordered the Inter leadership to take up their option to redeem Rafinha and keep him with the club past his loan spell according to a report from ESPN.
The Brazilian joined Inter on an initial six month loan deal back in January with a €35 million (plus a potential €3 million more in bonuses) redemption option attached. However, due to ongoing financial fair play problems, it will be very difficult for the Nerazzurri to keep a hold of the midfielder who has continually shared a desire to remain with the club.
ESPN however report that Inter have no intention of paying anywhere near close to that figure and will not spend a penny more than €20 million to keep a hold of him.
The 25-year-old has starred in 15 games since his arrival and got his first goal in an Inter shirt during the 4-0 thrashing of Udinese at the weekend.
