Rafinha’s father and agent Mazinho has admitted that the midfielder’s stay at Inter is completely dependent on the Nerazzurri themselves in an interview with FCInter1908.it where he also stressed that his client has been very happy during his loan spell at San Siro.

“Whether he remains in Milan depends entirely on Inter and certainly not on us. I do not know if we will have news by June 30 or from July onwards, but we are just waiting for Inter to make moves with Barcelona. I can say that Rafinha has been very happy during these months in Milan, but it all depends on the agreement between Inter and Barcelona. Now it is up to Inter to talk to Barcelona.”

The 25-year-old arrived on loan from Barcelona in January with a hefty redemption fee attached, something the Nerazzurri quite simply can not afford to cough up due to ongoing financial fair play problems. As a result, a new agreement may have to be reached with the Spanish giants over a more affordable figure or the loan could simply be extended for a further season.
