Inter’s Scudetto winning Primavera coach Stefano Vecchi, has signed a contract to manage Serie B side Venezia FC.

In conjunction with a statement released by Inter, Venezia FC have announced that they have appointed the manager on a three year contract with option for the fourth. The statement reads: “Venezia FC announces that they have reached an agreement with Stefano Vecchi to manage the first team. The contract is a three year contract with an option for a fourth. All agreements will be formalised on 1st July 2018.”

Vecchi leaves Inter after winning back to back Primavera Scudetto’s in 2017 and 2018, two Viareggio Cup’s in 2015 and 2018, one Primavera Coppa Italia in 2015 and a Primavera Supercup in 2017. Vecchi famously took charge of the senior team at Inter on two occasions during the course of the 2016-2017 season where he was caretaker manager after Frank De Boer was sacked towards the back end of 2016 and then obce again 3 games from the end of that season after Stefano Pioli was also sacked.
