Luka Modric will return to Madrid on Sunday and will begin training with Real Madrid on Monday and until he has held talks with Real Madrid over his future, all Inter can do is sit and wait.

A report from Sky Sport suggests that the Croatian is in fact interested in a change of scenery having won pretty much all there is to win while with Los Blancos. As things currently stand, the proposed move to Milan is entirely up to the player himself who would link up with compatriots Ivan Perisic, Marcelo Brozovic and Sime Vrsaljko if he is to join the Nerazzurri.

The report also goes on to speak about the possibility of Inter going after another full back. Luciano Spalletti has trialled Kwadwo Asamoah in the midfield and if Spalletti intends to use the Ghanaian there then Inter will need to add another full back to their ranks. Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian is the player that Inter currently have in mind but they may have to act fast to secure him with Napoli also lurking.
